Available for Safari, Chrome, and Edge to send download jobs to SaveXTube Server.
A standalone Safari web extension that connects to SaveXTube Server.
Click SaveXTube in the Safari toolbar to send the current page to SaveXTube Server. The first time you use it, enter your server address and Access Key in the extension’s Settings tab.

SaveXTube Desktop
Chrome and Edge share the same WXT extension package. Send the current page to SaveXTube Desktop running on your computer.
Installed automatically with SaveXTube Desktop.
No separate extension download or installation is needed. After installing SaveXTube Desktop, enable SaveXTube under Safari Settings → Extensions.

Chrome and Edge setup
The Safari extension is installed automatically with SaveXTube Desktop for macOS. Chrome and Edge use the same WXT package, installed through the browser’s developer mode.
Download the SaveXTube Desktop extension ZIP and extract it to a folder on your computer.
Enter chrome://extensions in Chrome or edge://extensions in Edge.
Enable developer mode, choose “Load unpacked,” and select the extracted SaveXTube Extension folder.
Open a page and click the SaveXTube Desktop icon. The first time, allow the browser to open SaveXTube Desktop.

Download and unzip the matching browser ZIP, then load the extracted folder from the browser’s extensions page. In the extension’s Settings tab, enter your SaveXTube Server address and Access Key.

Safari setup
The Safari extension is installed through a macOS app. After installing it, enable the extension in Safari settings and allow it to access the sites you use.
Download Safari installer againDownload and open the DMG, drag SaveXTube for Safari to Applications, then launch it once.
Open Safari Settings → Extensions, turn on SaveXTube, and allow access to the sites where you want to use it.
Click SaveXTube in the Safari toolbar and enter your SaveXTube Server address and Access Key in Settings.
Open a page you want to download, then click SaveXTube in the toolbar. SaveXTube Desktop needs to be running on your computer.

Safari, Chrome, and Edge extensions can all connect to SaveXTube Server.
